Welcome to the 3rd CitA Tech Live conference, Challenge, Change, Learn.

At no time has the challenge been so great for the Irish construction industry. In 2022, with the combined impact of the continued threat of COVID-19, the impact of Brexit, and the war in the east, construction businesses are now having to adapt to a new norm in a very competitive and turbulent sector.

Things are slowly getting back to normal, but the market is extremely difficult to operate in competitively. Some issues are unique to the construction industry, and other issues are being faced across other business sectors.

Earlier this year, CitA challenged its members to identify their key challenges. While many issues were identified, the top concerns surrounded resource scarcity, increased costs, decarbonisation, and procurement reform. These were also coincidently identified by Mark Farmer Cast CEO and Founding Director in an interview earlier this year in the UK Building magazine.

CitA Tech Live 2022 seeks to address how digitization can help to tackle these key challenges throughout the three-day event with a world-class line-up of speakers.

CitA’s flagship event in 2022 is a welcome return to in-person events. Day three of the conference on Friday 17th June taking place in the Gibson Hotel will be looking specifically at procurement reform. Wednesday 15th June will focus on the resource scarcity and increased costs whilst Thursday 16th June will address the urgent need to decarbonise our industry.

The CitA team is very grateful for all of the support that it has received from CitA members and sponsors over the past two years. Now it is time to reconnect and say thank you to our delegates and supporters.
